The last four concerts of the EUROPAfest Summer Edition @Sinaia festival will take place between the 24th and 27th of July 2015. Hosted by the Catholic Church of Sinaia and Mara Hotel, the concerts will bring artists from South Africa, Canada, China, Cyprus, South Korea, Switzerland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, New Zealand, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, USA, UK.
July 24, 2015, is dedicated to jazz. Starting at 7.00 p.m., King’s Valley Hall of the Mara Hotel will resound to the music of Radha Thomas – voice – and Aman Mahajan – piano. Three days of classical music will follow:
- July 25, 2015, 7.00 p.m. – “Before Sunset” Concert – Mara Hotel
- July 26, 2015, 7.00 p.m. – “Gala EUROPAfest Summer Edition” Concert – Mara Hotel
- July 27, 2015, 7.00 p.m. – “Classic in Church” Concert – Catholic Church from Sinaia
Admission to the concert is by invitation, and for the remaining seats the access will be free.
In addition to the concerts, EUROPAfest Summer Edition includes the fourth edition of Summer Music Academy, a program for advanced musical studies which debuted on July 16. The teachers of the 2015 edition are Remus Azoiţei / UK, professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London, Pierre-Yves Artaud / France, internationally renowned flutist, awarded five times the “Grand Prix du disque” in France and Japan, professor at the National Superior Conservatory of Music in Paris and Cristina Bellu / Italy, Switzerland, renowned cellist, Professor at Scuola Universitaria di Musica in Lugano and Haute Ecole de Musique in Lausanne, representative of the European String Teachers Association (ESTA) within the Council of Europe. The program is dedicated to young violinists, flutists and cellists between 14 and 30 years old, from the country and abroad. The piano accompaniment is provided by Adela Lorincz.
