You can have a really good laugh in Cluj, you only have to dare! Between the 16th and the 25th of October 2015, over 200 movies and several theater plays gather at Cluj to convince you to start laughing. The International Film Festival “Comedy Cluj” has reached its seventh edition and promises to be funnier than ever.

Film screenings will take place at “Florin Piersic” Cinema, Victoria Cinema, TIFF House, as well as in the Cinema City multiplex within the Iulius Mall and Polus Center. The movies are from all over the world, from Europe, to the USA, South Africa and Malaysia. Independent movies were chosen, including documentaries made without using public founds, or any hep from some giant companies. It is an opportunity for the public to discover the specific humor for every nationality. The full schedule of the event is available here.

As humor cannot be restricted to only one form of art, this year, Comedy Cluj includes theater plays. Therefore, for those that love the theater, four outstanding plays can be seen in Cluj: 39 steps, directed by Gabriela Dumitru, Vania and Sonia and Masha and Spike, directed by Horia Suru, In the park, a comedy written and directed by Paul Iacoban, and Couples, directed by Vlad Zamfirescu.

For young filmmakers, the festival includes some specific workshops: film production workshop, special film events workshop, Multilingualism in theater and film, Communication and PR workshop. Find out here how to register and who are those who will support them, as well as details about the location and duration.
