The fourth edition of Jazz in Church awaits you between March 30, 2016 and April 3, 2016 at the Evangelical Church C.A. of Bucharest. It is a very generous edition as it includes four Romanian and international jazz evenings, a concert entirely dedicated to children and one for people with disabilities.
If jazz music makes your heart thrill, do not miss one of the most interesting and rare jazz festivals in the country. Guests from abroad will bring in Bucharest jazz theme and variations. Whether it is the avantgardistic interpretation of John Surman, or the progressive one of Palle Mikkelborg, jazz awaits you on the eve of spring.
The evening of March 30, 2016 is dedicated to Romanian jazz. George Natsis, Adrian Flautistu and Vlad Popescu will represent Romania at Jazz in Church. This will be the evening dedicated to people with disabilities so that 100 seats will be reserved for them due the National Authority of People with Disabilities and Help Autism association. At this concert, admission is free.
March 31, 2016 brings Michel Godrd in Bucharest, as well as Bruno Helstroffer and Lucas Niggli, with their journey through time, accompanied by two sixteenth century instruments: a serpent and a theorbo. On the same evening, Tord Gustavsen, Simin Tander and Jarle Vespestad will present their new project, entitled What was said.
On April 1, 2016, Ernst Reijseger, Harmen Fraanje and Sylvie Courvoisier, Drew Gress and Kenny Wollesen will meet the Romanian audience. We own to Ernst Reijseger and Harmen’s Fraanje some soundtracks Werner Herzog movies.
April 2, 2016 is the day when children can listen to jazz. At 11.00 a.m a concert dedicated to children, entitled Jazz for kids, will begin. Mihai Iordache, Dan Alex Mitrofan, Adi Stoenescu and Tavi Scurtu will take part. At this concert, admission is free.
In the evening you will find yourself in the company of Lionel Loueke, Massimo Biolcati and Ferenc Nemeth and John Surman and Vigleik Storaas. The trio Lionel Loueke, Massimo Biolcati and Ferenc Nemeth combines modern jazz with traditional West African music and unique voice inflections.
The last evening of the festival, on April 3, 2016, brings on the stage Toma Dimitriu and Daniel Torres, as well as Edouard Ferlet, Palle Mikkelborg and Jakob Bro. Ferlet Edouard’s recital of Bucharest is a tribute to Bach.A patra ediție a festivalului Jazz in Church vă așteaptă între 30 martie 2016 și 3 aprilie 2016 în Biserica Evanghelică C.A. din București. Patru seri de jazz internațional și românesc, un concert dedicat copiilor și unul dedicat persoanelor cu dizabilități sunt oferta generoasă a acestei ediții.
Dacă acordurile de jazz vă fac inima să tresalte, nu lipsiți de la unul dintre cele mai interesante și deosebite festivaluri de jazz din țară. Invitații de peste hotare aduc la București variațiuni pe teme de jazz. De avangardă, în interpretarea lui John Surman, sau progesiv, atunci când Palle Mikkelborg are microfonul, jazz-ul vă așteaptă în prag de primăvară.
Seara de 30 martie 2016 este dedicată jazz-ului românesc. George Natsis, Adrian Flautistu și Vlad Popescu sunt cei care vor reprezenta România la Jazz in Church. Este, de asemenea, seara dedicată persoanelor cu dizabilități astfel încât 100 de locuri vor fi rezervate pentru acestea prin Autoritatea Națională a Persoanelor cu Dizabilități și Asociația Help Autism. La acest concert, intrarea este liberă.
31 martie 2016 îi aduce la București pe Michel Godard, Bruno Helstroffer și Lucas Niggli cu a lor călătorie în timp, însoțiți de două instrumente de secol XVI, serpent și teorbă. În aceeași seară, Tord Gustavsen, Simin Tander și Jarle Vespestad vor prezenta noul lor proiect, intitulat What was said.
Pe 1 aprilie 2016, Ernst Reijseger și Harmen Fraanje și Sylvie Courvoisier, Drew Gress și Kenny Wollesen descoperă publicul român. Lui Ernst Reijseger și lui Harmen Fraanje li se datoarează câteva din coloanele sonore ale filmelor semnate de Werner Herzog.
2 aprilie 2016 este ziua în care copiii ascultă jazz. De la ora 11:00 va începe un concert dedicat lor, intitulat Jazz for kids. Participă Mihai Iordache, Dan Alex Mitrofan, Adi Stoenescu și Tavi Scurtu. La acest concert intrarea este liberă.
Seara vă va găsi în compania lui Lionel Loueke, Massimo Biolcati și Ferenc Nemeth și John Surman și Vigleik Storaas. Trio-ul Lionel Loueke, Massimo Biolcati și Ferenc Nemeth combină jazz-ul modern cu muzică tradițională vest-africană și inflexiuni vocale inedite.
Ultima seară de festival, 3 aprilie 2016, îi aduce pe scenă pe Toma Dimitriu și Daniel Torres și pe Edouard Ferlet, Palle Mikkelborg și Jakob Bro. Recitalul lui Edouard Ferlet de la București este un program-omagiu pentru Bach.
Concertele încep la ora 19:00. Biletele costă 100 lei pentru fiecare concert sau 300 lei pentru toate cele 4 seri de concerte. Biletele se pot procura on-line pe eventim.ro și în rețelele magazinelor Germanos, Orange, Vodafone, Domo în librăriile Humanitas și Cărturești.
