Autumn is the season of reflection, knowledge and… documentary movies. This year, the sixth edition of the British Documentary Film Festival is hosted by the Museum of the Romanian Peasant (“Horia Bernea” Studio) between October 5 and December 14, 2015.
Organized by the British Council, the festival aims to bring to Romanian public’s attention the best documentary movies of the recent years, movies that won Oscars, BAFTA and Grieson prises.
There will be various documentaries, from history to logic, literature, philosophy and problems of the society.
The admission is free. The projections begin at 7.00 p.m. Here is the schedule of the events:
October 5– “Searching for Sugar Man”
October 12 – “Lucien Freud: Painted Life”
October 19 – ”The Impostor”
November 2 – ”The Tube: An Underground History”
November 16 – ”The Joy of Logic”
November 23 – ”The Trouble with Tolstoy”
November 30 – ”Last Chance School”
December 7 – ”Close Up: Freedom to Broadcast Hate”
December 14 – ”David Bowie – Five Years”Toamna este anotimpul potrivit pentru reflexie, cunoaştere şi.. film documentar. A şasea ediţie a festivalului de film documentar British Documentary este găzduită anul acesta de Muzeul Ţăranului Român (Studioul Horia Bernea) între 5 octombrie 2015 şi 14 decembrie 2015.
Organizat de British Council, festivalul îşi propune să aducă în atenţia publicului român cele mai bune filme documentare din ultimii ani, filme care au adunat premii Oscar, BAFTA şi Grieson.
Ca la fiecare ediţie, subiectele documentarelor prezentate sunt variate, de la istorie, la logică, la literatură, la filosofie şi problemele actuale ale societăţii.
Accesul la proiecții este gratuit, în limita locurilor disponibile. Filmele vor fi subtitrate în limba română. Proiecţiile încep la ora 19:00. Programul festivalului este următorul:

30 noiembrie – „Școala ultimei șanse” / ”Last Chance School”
7 decembrie – „Libertatea de a promova ura” / ”Close Up: Freedom to Broadcast Hate”
14 decembrie – „David Bowie – cinci ani” / ”David Bowie – Five Years”
